Our founding was inspired by the UK’s recognition of same-sex marriage. As a gay couple ourselves, we recognised the need for a jeweller who truly understands LGBTQ+ relationships - not as a niche, but as lived experience.

A Century of Jewellery Expertise
With over 100 years of family experience in the jewellery trade,
WOOLTON & HEWITT brings deep knowledge and craftsmanship to
every engagement ring and wedding ring we create. Our family’s
involvement in jewellery began in 1919, and today we are part of a
fourth-generation jewellery tradition based in Berkhamsted,
Hertfordshire, near London in the United Kingdom. We founded
WOOLTON & HEWITT in 2013 to focus specifically on engagement
rings and wedding jewellery for LGBTQ+ couples. Since then, we
have spent more than a decade helping same-sex couples celebrate
their relationships with beautifully crafted rings made with care
and understanding. Couples choose WOOLTON & HEWITT because
they value experience, craftsmanship and genuine understanding.
With more than a century of jewellery heritage behind us, we
create engagement rings and wedding rings that are designed to be

Ring Symbolism for LGBTQ Couples
Rings can be more than jewellery - they can celebrate identity,
pride, and love. At WOOLTON & HEWITT, our symbolic designs
reflect LGBTQIA+ sexuality and gender identity through subtle
colours, precious metals, and fine craftsmanship. From gay bear
and twink pride to lesbian, pansexual, and trans pride, each ring
hints at flag colours while remaining timeless and wearable.
Some designs incorporate colour-enhanced diamonds to add sparkle,
while others use brushed finishes and banded metals to create
texture and depth.
Our iconic rainbow rings reinterpret the LGBTQ rainbow through
rose, champagne, yellow, white gold, and platinum, offering a
