We are moving into a time where we can be open about our bodies,
sexuality, gender, and gender expression. We can be proud about
who we are. This is a radical departure from the past and is long
overdue. The road to equality is being travelled community by
community, step by step. Different countries are moving forwards
at different rates but, one day, we will all be "just people".
Gay PRIDE & LGBTQIA+ Sexual Identity PRIDE Rings
WOOLTON & HEWITT have created a range of fine quality pride
rings with which to celebrate sexual identity. We understand the
complex nature of human sexuality and identity and therefore
acknowledge that the terms used here can be interpreted in many
ways and that we focus on only some identities. As jewellers we
have focused on the symbols of sexual identity that can be
reflected in colours of precious metals. These are the trans
community, the LGBTQIA2S+ community, the lesbian community, the
pansexual comminity, the gay bears community and the twink
community. For the asexual community we work in black carbon and
diamonds.
We have selected these because their PRIDE flags use colours that
we can hint at in precious metals. We make gold in colours of
rose, champagne, hint-of-hazel, hint-of-ivory, and traditional
yellow. Gold can also be grey in colour which we use to stand in
for blue and platinum is used to represent white. In various
combinations we have created fine quality PRIDE rings that
resemble the pansexual pride flag, the lesbian pride flag, the
twink pride flag, the gay bears pride flag and the trans pride
flag. The LGBTQ rainbow flag is hinted at by our 5 color rainbow
ring. Because we cannot make gold in green, blue or violet these
three bands are represented by "white" platinum and "grey" gold.
However, we can supply real diamonds in the 6 colors of the gay
LGBT rainbow flag. To display intense colours these are real
diamonds that have been treated to generate the colours of the
rainbow.
